Political Dynasty a boon or bane

From the time immemorial, politics and administration have a crucial role in the development and integration of people.  It is apparent that politics is an integral part of democracy. Albeit politics is a dynamic subject, it gives more meaning to administration.

While talking about Politics it is important to consider the role of political ideologies and leadership. Aristotle, the philosopher and the father of politics put forwarded the concept of politico administration. It is the vision and wisdom of political leadership decides the destiny of a destination.

Politics deals with policies and national integration. No history is complete without politics and political dynasties. Almost all civilizations and regimes are known by powerful politico administrative dynasties. From the Maurya period to the Gandhi Nehru dynasty, we have witnessed number of political dynasties. It is not a person but his visions and ideologies determine the longevity of his dynasty. Inspired by Buddha, the great king Asoka founded a peaceful political and administrative system in India. Harshavardan, Gupta and provincial rulers established their dynasties in different parts of ancient and medieval India. But we remember only few that created liberal, just and welfare states. Even though the King Akbar is a Mughal ruler, he still in our memories because of his secular Din Ilahi religion and welfare oriented administration. We remember Shajahan as the architect of the Golden India. Above all the existence of a political dynasty depends on the attitude and satisfaction of their citizens.

The case is same in contemporary period too. Wherever a political ideology established with good intension and envisioned community welfare, which survived and sustained. Iron fist administration has certain limit that may overpowered by the mob sooner or later. This is what happened to many dynasties especially in south East Asian countries. Many rulers like Mubark, Gaddhaffi, Tylor, Husaain etc. surrendered before people.   The extremist actions of Fascism and Nazism are suffice to substantiate this argument.  Motivated by the Gandhian ideologies and Socialist theories Jawahar lal Nehru conceptualized a Welfare administration. The same has been followed by his predecessors the gained wide acceptance of people and caused the gradual establishment of Gandhi Nehru political dynasty.  Here power, vision and wisdom of leadership are the deciding factors -‘boon or bane’.

While encapsulating political dynasty is a boon for a democratic country like India where people have the right to select or reject their representatives. The adult suffrage also should be utilized for ‘Call Back’ to make the administration corrupt free. But the system of political dynasty is not suitable for autocratic countries like Communist Countries and nations in the Middle East. It is under stood that, political dynasties are not gained applauds of people in a single day, but it travelled in the path of up and downs, and then only people received them as their administrative partners. If people recognize the ideology, visions and actions of a dynasty, then nothing wrong to say ‘Yes’ to a powerful, positive and trustful dynasty, which can lead us to the acme of growth.

Not crony, but cooperative , not to promote nepotism but to support our nation – we need a chunk of Gandhi like people.
