625 കോടിയുടെ ലോട്ടറിയടിച്ചയാള്‍ കുടിച്ചു മരിച്ചു
Posted on: 26 Oct 2010

Operation Kamala

Operation Kamala- another clandestine strategy of BJP now in public. This is the second time this party making their attempt of a political scam. This act is obviously a serious crime against the people those who send their representatives to the legislative assembly. The act of BJP government is totally irresponsible and a fraudulent business which questioning the right of   people as well as the  existence of constitution.
How one can justify the offers of Yaduriyappa in Thirumala for succeeding his power and justifying the concept, "aim justifies the path". The mining maphia Janardhana Reddy and Karunakara Reddy throwing money for retaining their legislatives and this money is from their most horrid and atrocious business - illegal mining. Really - now the Yaduriyappa government not in position or fearing to face the election. This is the only reason they go for this horrible and rotten business.
Now I leave it to the people of Karnataka those who utilized their suffrage. In the back ground of these political scams and the cheating of voters really unpardonable. Even the Congress Government didn't support the action of H R Bhardwaj, Governor of Karnataka. Let the people decide at least in coming elections.

Ayodhya Verdict - Faith or Justice

After a sudden silence,  different individuals and parties depleted it with few comments. It was welcomed by the whole Hindu community but had a mixed response from Muslim people. BJP veteran L K Advani said the Allahabad High Court verdict in the Ayodhya title suit was "faith upheld by law" and that it has paved the way for reconciliation with judicial ratification. But other commend says like - We expected the verdict in our favour. It is tilted towards one party which is not fair," its lawyer Zafaryab Jilani told IANS. "We will go for appeal. There is no second thought. We are studying the judgment."

Really it has mixed response and what you think in this scene. The maturity of Indian people to receive the verdict must appreciate. Whether faith or justice? which is most important.??????

I think, in democratic, pluralistic and diverse - obviously cradle of democracy not expecting such an opinion - 'faith upheld by law' and I commending it as crime against law and constitution. It is not acceptable to put faith above law or constitution that may lead to controversies.  Court agreed that Ram was born in Ayodhya and there was a temple in Ayodhya that was destructed by Mugal King Babar and built a Masjid in that place. So now its under the control of Muslim legally but by faith it can substantiate to Hindus.

While accepting this fact Karunanidhi commends that - We have identified the birth place of Ram and birth place of Raja Raja Cholan is still not recognized, that was just before 1000 years. But the duty bestowed up on the court was very crucial - a crucial dilemma, court wants to upheld justice and Government wants a peaceful response. With some hours of confusions and doubts, it was declared to split in to three.

Now the question is weather it is justifiable or not? and what the outcome expected from supreme court.

Let's wish for a right conclusion and peaceful country which upheld our religious integrity.

Cheetah - a possible return?

Thanks to Ramesh Jairman - Minster for environment and forest, great in conservation aspects. Recently he has introduced a project to protect an extincting species - Chetah. This is a 300 crore project which envisages to call back chetah from Africa.
Cheetah was widely hunted by brave but brutal kings which was to show their power and fame. They then used for assisting their hunt. But when time gone it was partially disappeared from forests and their habitat because of the countinious threat from cowherds and impotent inbreeding. The last three cheetas in India were killed by the king of Suguji in eastern Madhya Pradesh. It was also in the year of India's independence -1947. Now the ministry plans to introduce 18 cheetas equally as six in selected places of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. As per the initial decision it will be at Kano - Palpur (Madhya Pradesh) and Jaysalmir (Rajasthan).
We can appreciate this new effort to protect and preserve our animal bio diversity. But various experts commend it as a impractical idea. Normally cheetas need  large area as their habit and that should be free from human intervention. Also their pray should be available at its surrounding area. So this initiative is not at all viable anymore here with such facilities. In addition to this most of our wild life conservation initiatives except Project Tiger were in complete failure.
There were various efforts all over the world to sustain this friend, especially by animal lovers. Center fro cellular and molecular biology anticipated to develop clones of Chetas to retain it few years ago.But Iran rejected to supply Chetah to countinious this initiative and that was as water line.

While accepting the realities maintenance of Chetah is very difficult and cumbersome efforts required in this line. Its natural habitat, inbreeding, availabilty of prays, gracing land etc. are the disturbing realities. But I hope this effort should flourish like another - Save Tiger Project.

Emerging China - India's advantage

The economy of China as well as India are growing with a great pace and  catching international attraction. The recognized consultants like Boston Consultants, Price water Coopers and Moody Analysts were noted that these two countries will show a growth rate between 8 and 10 in coming years. India and China celebrated 'friendship'  year and promotes 'bhai bhai' approach recently. Both countries have healthy business as well as industrial relation by positive shifts in import -  export alliance.

In the midst of these interesting results, we also have certain alarming facts. Our (India) largest neighboring country China trying to influence other neighbors which may affect India badly. Nuclear deal with Pakistan, language study center in Nepal, China Burma military alliance etc., If the growth of Islamic extremism and terrorism in Bangladesh is a threat to Indian security, then the presence of China with which India’s interests have the potential to clash is also of security concern.China's influence in South Asia has significantly grown over the years, and in particular Bangladeshi-Chinese relations are now robust and very comprehensive. In addition to this China is well equipped to supply the energy needs especially nuclear energy to neibhouring as well as emerging economies.

China hosted the last Olympics fabulously and  very well appreciated by world countries and that was also a positive paradigm shift for the Chinese government. India also hosted the 19th Common Wealth Games with a little glitterings in the midst of some controversies.

Chinese countinious claim on Arunachal Pradesh is another boiling issue. In the circumstance of Chinese claims and oppositions, Prime minister visited there for election campaign and admitted Dalailama to visit Taiwang. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh declared that Arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of India and he rejected their claims in words and in maps.

China also boosting English education to compete in the globalised world. The bureaucratic nature of Chinese economy is their greatest competitive advantage. So that no one can object the development and all the obstacles will gives way to Government decisions. But as a democratic country India cant avoid the interest of common people and that may the greatest inhibition for irregular developments.

Chinese economy is consistent and controllable normally and inflation is not at all a problem their as in India.

India's competitive advantage

  • China control its population very strictly by various family planning strategies which resulted population control effectively. But it also leads the country and old age in the future. As per the study - young talents are the advantage of both the countries. But the mean age of India is 25.1 and China is 34.1. It shows that China will face a serious man power crisis in the future.
  • English langauage expertise of China is 0.77 in 2006. But Indians proficiency is 10.66 as per the 2001 census. It is one of the strongest advanatages of India. India is a liberalised economy and democratic in nature. So the scope of skill devlopment can be expected.
  • Indian economy is focused on sectors like IT and service but the Chinese on manufacturing sector. So the energy need of China is farther than India. So the energy efficiency of China is questionable
While calculating all the ways, we will reach a final conclusion, China is a step forward than India and India needs to run with a robust face to catch Chinese growth in the immediate future.

What about your parents?

Do you think it is a crucial question? But I think so. Once I heard an incident which alarmed me about the plight future of the aged parents. You believe or not : an old lady was found in a bus stand in the midst of a waste deposit as tightened in a sack. It was found by the Kudumbsree members came for cleaning that area. When they were categorizing this waste, heard a  kind and pathetic voice.

Actually I had wrote an eye opening results of a survey conducted by Help age. Unfortunately that failed to publish. Now I am trying to replicate that. But that figures are not available. India having above 40% youths and above 30% aged.... can be considered as a boon or bane. Why it is so is in the sense of boon - more man power will be available, but in bane is the shortage of employment opportunities and high investment on  health aspects.
90% in loneliness, 35% forced to work for earning in their disabilities, 60% uncared by children, 27% separated etc......................
Why we cant care our parents? I also remember some sad moments with my grand parent. I cant remember these terrible moments that I made wrong emotions. But I fully realizing his love, affection, care, humbleness and all. Most respected by all........ Strong believer of God who guided me a lot to move ahead. Frankly speaking. Sometimes my sadness flow out and my heart will beat faster than normal. At his old age his hearing lost partially but his affection increased thrice. Some times I irritated by his countinious questions and hesitated to answer.    You know, he was some what bold and self conscious, he will not change when he decides something, eat sumptuously and shout irresistibly. There were some strong  fights between him and me. not physically but verbally. Some times it exceeds the limit of our house walls. Not by our sound but by our strong grit and uncompromising attitude. Now I am praying...........My God, I know I am very emotional in nature and uncompromising in attitude and pride with ego. But great fortune that I have realized it.

At his last times he loved me very much and enormously. But I was out of station. Once I visited my grandpa while he was in bed and very tired. He stood up with all his efforts and embrace me hold his hand on my neck and kissed. Then put his hand on my head and blessed repeatedly. That happened many times/occasions. But I failed to accept his love. I was not in a mood to fell a  drops even his funeral function.

I know,  now it is a deep wound in my heart and I am fearful remember my wrong doings. I am realizing that some uncompromisable attitude of my grand pa made me like that. I can explain you an incident, When I got a job in Trivandrum, I normally gone to my house twice in a month. Once I reached my house, my grand pa was not there and he was in my Uncles house. Some what intentionally I refused to meet him that day by remembering some bad incidents. Tomorrow morning I met him and expected a warm welcome and love. But he refused to meet me and remarked that why dont you come to see me yesterday?. I was really insulted and left there. I thought that he said it in a wrong intention. But later I realized that he loved me very much. But my chance were over while accepting this fact.

I have heard a stroy in my child hood and it says like as follows.
An 80 year old man was sitting on the sofa in his house along with his 45-year old highly educated son.Suddenly a crow perched on their window. The Father asked his Son, "What is this?" The Son replied "It is a crow". After a few minutes, the Father asked his Son the 2nd time, "What is this?" The Son said "Father, I have just now told you "It's a crow". After a little while, the old Father again asked his Son the 3rd time, "What is this?" At this time some expression of irritation was felt in the Son's tone when he said to his Father with a rebuff. "It's a crow, a crow". A little after, the Father again asked his Son t he 4th time, "What is this?" This time the Son shouted at his Father, "Why do you keep asking me the same question again and again, although I have told you so many times 'IT IS A CROW'. Are you not able to understand this?"A little later the Father went to his room and came back with an old tattered diary, which he had maintained since his Son was born. On opening a page, he asked his Son to read that page. When the son read it, the following words were written in the diary: -

"Today my little son aged three was sitting with me on the sofa, when a crow was sitting on the window. My Son asked me 23 times what it was, and I replied to him all 23 times that it was a Crow. I hugged him lovingly each time h e asked me the same question again and again for 23 times. I did not at all feel irritated. I rather felt affection for my innocent child".

The elderly can be seen as burdens rather than blessings. Sometimes we are quick to forget the sacrifices are parents made for us when they are in need of care themselves. Instead of taking them into our homes—whenever that is safe and feasible—we put them in retirement communities or nursing homes, sometimes against their will. We may not value the wisdom they have acquired through living long lives, and we can discredit their advice as “outdated.”

When we honor and care for our parents, we are serving God as well. The Bible says, “The church should care for any widow who has no one else to care for her. But if she has children or grandchildren, their first responsibility is to show godliness at home and repay their parents by taking care of them. This is something that pleases God very much....But those who won't care for their own relatives, especially those living in the same household, have denied what we believe. Such people are worse than unbelievers”
The decisions of Governemnt is welcoming and there efforts to care our old aged people. National Policy on old persons, Parent maintanace act, pensions and orphanages etc. are most welcoming. But I think it is not sufficient for parent caring. An in depth study, strong amendments and implementation mechanisnm etc should strengthen.

Caste Census - Logic

In a secularist country, boiled on democracy and cherished by equity is now decided for caste census. It is unfortunate that it has been included as a separate category in Census 2011. Our leaders refer to a casteless  society only in speech not in practice.
I am really wondering that how this caste system and census help the growth of our economy. I think it will divide society further as more and more groups will demand reservation in government jobs or in education institution on their caste identities.
It may create more disturbance if some category dropped from reservation and if some unreserved entered in to this list. This nexus lead to a miserable situation to Government as well as decision making authorities.
