Mulamoottil – Man of Magic

“Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness like the starts forever and ever.”

Rev. Dr. Abraham Mulamoottil – Great Visionary, Philosopher, Thinker, Green Liberation Theologian and Practician now moves to Pushpagiri Group of Institutions after his successful endeavor for decade in MACFAST as Principal. He knuckled down to build MACFAST in to a national level B institute. His visions made MACFAST in to the forefront of education.    His outstanding creation – St. John’s Cathedral is a wonder in the eyes people all over the world. Not only by its beauty but also by its theme to state – nature is our God.
At the time of farewell, people talked lavishly about Dr. Abraham Mulamoottil and his enthusiasts competed to speak about him. I thought after a moment, “Nothing can explain his kudos.  Nothing will be more if we glorified him.” He has been working to give voice to voiceless and to build a knowledge society by filling the knowledge gulf in the society. His policies are really outstanding and his basic/founding principle is “knowledge is never lost on sharing - it only multiplies”. The concept brain behind Radio MACFAST 90.4 aims the same.
He says "Our future depends not on what will happen to us, but on what we decide to become and on the will to create it. We Keralites have to learn a lot from the positive thinking of people in developed countries and the political will and unity they show to achieve their development needs."
His philosophical thoughts ―Self’ but also ―Others and deep understanding about this concept amzed me a lot. This ethical principle ―the face of the Other makes me responsible.
Know our ‘Self’ first. Then the ‘Other’.
Now I don’t like more about him. If you want to know more please visit. www.mulamoottil.in . But I should write few things about him that influenced me.

His visions
“When vision vanishes people perish”
His visions are his strength. He makes others powerful and responsible by his influencing actions. His creations are the symbols of his visions. I am wondering to see his mega work, St. John’s cathedral Tiruvalla, citadel of Kerala’s traditional architecture. His perseverance, will power, confidence and attitude made it. His visions are behind the brand name of MACFAST and he made it in to a Self sustaining College instead of Self Financing College. MACFAST Industry Interface (MII), MACFST Technologies, Corporate Badging and MACFAST Radio are the brain child of Fr. Mulamoottil. These are his efforts to make MACFAST in to a global standard. His urge to impart his visions is an outstanding character among people and he believes “knowledge is never lost on sharing - it only multiplies”
Sometimes I think, if our world gets people like Mulamoottil, it will flourish and cherish. Really, He is the special creation of God.
He is always with students. He cares, he carries and he moves them. Marvelous construction of Students Hall, novel initiative Wednesday gathering and creative Green Hour are the evidence of his optimistic approach. He realizes Nature is our God and we don’t have any existence without the existence of nature. This is his brain behind the novel initiative – Clean and Green Tiruvalla. An initiative to make a paradigm shift in the attitude of people towards waste management – an effort to practice micro level decentralized waste management.
Thanks Father. Dear Achan, please transfer your igniting visions to us that will ignite us and others.
His imaginations
“If you have limited imagination, you will go for imitation”
He is the source of unlimited imagination. A wild imagination and he will work it out. He takes up impregnable tasks and fulfill like Napolean. There is no ‘impossible’ in his dictionary. When we approach him with some crucial dilemma, he will find suitable solution. The creation of St. Joseph Cathedral and development of MACFSAT are his luminous and incredible imagination. His imagination gives robustness and credential to all his steps. Recently initiated 75 lakhs solar project and 150 lakhs Clean and Green Projects are the evidence of his crisp clear imagination. He will replicate, but not as a Xerox but as a modified and creative version after perceiving things. I like to say, he has no imitation but he develops imagination to images and practical instead of imitation.

His Fast Pace
“Do things in one year that can do in ten years”
He is fast moving person – a man who fails age. He put his steps very confidently; stands erect and speak long without any distortions. “Complete tomorrow’s task today and today’s tasks now” that is his policy. He is looking for complete perfection and he knows the movement of each sand, soil and grass in the Campus.  I was marveled when I saw him in a morning for jogging. You know, he is above 55.  Day before that day we had a hectic schedule like after morning walk and food we went to a school. He delivered thrilling seminar there for three hours. After that he had series of meeting at MACFSAT Office that end only on 5.00 PM. With a tea he started discussion on different matters that prolonged to 2.00 AM. I and my colleagues were tired and we forced him to stop. But in next morning, I wondered while seeing him in walk very energetic.
There is no compromise in updating himself by reading news papers, browsing and meetings. He is a man of outstanding energy and enthusiasm. That is why I comment – Mulamoottil = Mulamoottil.  Threre is no equal to for Rev. Dr. Abraham Mulamoottil.
His friends circle impresses me a lot. Eminent personalities are circling around him. I had a fortune to visit many of his colleagues. I came out with a conclusion that “Great persons are always in touch with great persons.” I bowed my head in front of them by seeing their tremendous simplicity, kindness, humbleness and greatness. No exaggerations…………really spectacular personalities.
His IT Proficiency
“Don’t teach Billgates on Computer”
Once he told me a thing, he taught foreigners computer in Belgium. Sometimes I yawned, while he talks about IT because I am not gown up to that level to understand his thinking on information technology. Operating system, server, language, email and education software etc. are his topics of discussions. He is the second after Delhi University utilized google space for communication and our server is in Colombia. This techno savvy IT Scholar collects all the updates from somewhere and teaches MCA professors. What a man he is in the age of 55. He said. “I can’t think/live without computer and internet. Now it is an integral part of life”. His implicit idea on IT paved a way to raise MACFAST to a high-tech IT infrastructure. Now he plans to have a IT revolution in Pushpagiri.
His smile
“Smile for add miles to your age”

His smiles add life to us, raise confidence and provide enthusiasm. He is propagating a message, “Don’t worry, be happy”. Issues like mountains will simply melt in front of him. He faces it with cheer determination and will power. May this smile long forever.

I like to see his visions flourish and followers grow. Father, all the wishes to your future endeavor.  We ensure that you can build a better society and better world and we will carry your visions and thoughts for a better India. Last we remember your spirit and discipline that made everything. We pray for s better tomorrow.

 vow  in style

Why it so crowded?

Last week, I was in an International Convention which was at my Home town. It was so crowded, thousands of people pushing in to the Hall to hear the voice of someone and to experience something. I too managed to enter in to it very eagerly and early to find out the essence of that - something. That jamboree really cherished me. I went there very early to find front seat.
The speaker spoke about the reason of this obedient crowd. “Beloved all, there is a man in a city. Every day, he distributes gold coins to all those who gathered there. In the beginning some one mistaken it and resisted to go. But when day goes it becomes more crowded. Many tried to stop the people but the flow continues and increases. This what is happening here.” I was amazed by the obedience of followers. They are working under an umbrella and in the leadership of certain enlightened persons.
They called it as ‘Kalvari Tharavadu’ and I am one belongs to this ‘Tharavadu’. Blessings of God pour enormously there and people get free from all the miserable. God heals people in mistress, God touches people in worries and God consoles people in grieves. The comforter – Holy Spirit revolves around there and console thousands those who are in distress. Sprinkles of fire and drops of freezed  snows are showering there. The love of Jesus influences people and it crushes hard and rough minds. Comforter provides strength live and give ability to love. I have been wondering by seeing many higher officials and people from all over the world like Europe, Middle East, America etc. and I found the essence of holy spirit that forced them to gather here and celebrate the name of Lord.
“We are preaching the crucified Jesus. Not the religion but the men, Not the religion but the mind and Not the religion but the heart should change” – This is the founding principle of CRF – Christian Revival Fellowship.
If you are in worries, if you are in trouble and without any peace I welcome you to this Holy Place. Get free from your miseries. Feel the eternal peace and grab the everlasting salvation. All the wishes to my friends.

Harthal for Harthal

Harthal – an act of axing the branch which we sit
“The flair of political parties to make Harthal a flamboyant is absolutely flagrant. While Kerala changes to ‘land of harthals’, the scenario of development pushing away from ample growth. Now Kerala changes to the most unfriendly land to invest that keeps big players away from the so called ‘God’s own country’. This plundering of abundance of wealth intangibly should be stopped”.
Now I compelled to say, flog those who are supporting this flippant strategy.

Now the name ‘God’s own Country’ Kerlala turns to the ‘Land of Harthal’. Simply Harthal for Harthal and if it is in  Kerala things become more perfect. I was really amazed by comparing Hathals in two different states. We have discussed about ‘holiday greetings’ in Radio here in Kerala in the day of Hathal. At the same day a radio in Banglore cautioned their listeners about traffic issues in different places and the jockey suggested them to find the least traffic roads. What a paradox? The so called development in Kerala crawls us to unproductive way of agitations.
Harthal breaches all the fences and boundaries by affecting people in all walks of life in one way or another. The big questions…….. in this democratic world (largest democratic country in the world), who is our decision makers? Who decides to open the my shop? Who determines, whether I should work or not? And if political parties start to decide, should I have food or not? The right of life will breach too. The implication of Harthal is very wide and catastrophic even if it is celebrate flamboyantly.
I was wondered when I was listening our Radio, Radio MACFAST 90.4 on this Harthal day. A listener called to ‘Greetings’ (Phoning program to wish) and commented “special wishes to all Government officials who all are celebrating this Harthal” . Vow. This is because, that was a party sponsored Harthal.
Think. Each sand and soil minules know the catastrophic impact/effect of endosulfan and there is no more discussion required to get realize. Even a child and grandparent know it. So, why this Harthal? Did Anna Hassare went for a Harthal to send his message. Just by a ‘Satyagraha’ he got overwhelmed people participation that rattled the thrones of VIPs. But the ‘Upavasam’ for the name sake by our parties didn’t get any attention because that was for political gains and lead. If No, let me ask some questions. We have banned endosulfan in the state and why we are still using it? Aerial spraying is completely unscientific and why we following this practice? Lastly, this is being used by Kerala Plantation Corporation – state undertaking. That s why one presentation at Janeva opined that Endosulfan tragedy in Kerala is a state sponsored crime.
I am totally supporting the ban of Killer endosulfan and it is our need for survival and existence. But I completely opposing Harthals for anything that are breaching my fundamental rights, right to live, right to work and right to travel.
Additionally I have done a survey and came out with a finding 98.2% is not supporting Harthal and they opined that, it affects them too. The flair of political parties to make Harthal a flamboyant is absolutely flagrant. While Kerala changes to ‘land of harthals’, the scenario of development pushing away from ample growth. Now Kerala changes to the most unfriendly land to invest that keeps big players away from the so called ‘God’s own country’. This plundering of abundance of wealth intangibly should be stopped. Now I compelled to say, flog those who are supporting this flippant strategy.
Social Implications
Many of us will unanimously admit – ‘this not required’. But nothing happens, with a partial sleep we support Harthal by participating in a way or another. It comes true, “All Keralites are very hard working, not in Kerala but in abroad”-A notable quote. We celebrate, enjoy and cherishing in this day, while knowing all the facts. Obviously, it excites our laziness and forces us to keep us away from work. It is true; we are gradually adapted this planned holiday to celebrate without knowing its wide consequences and repercussions. Even our students are eager to hear a call of Harthal. All the BEVSCO’s (Beverages) are in rush, a day before Harthal, theaters are full. If we have a right towards development of our nation, we will not support this bad practice. Now, the decision makers of our nation are not the people but political parties.
A word more, Why strikes in college for political reasons. This is really a stupidity to conduct strikes for the sake of a leader who purposefully beaten by police because of his chaotic agitations in unwanted places. Why others should be the victim of their unwanted interventions, why our campus should stop work? Yes. If it is for a common cause which affects students, let’s admit and support.   We have enormous platforms to develop our political will power and thoughts. And there is no wonder if I state. Majority of our students are building their career through politics!!!!!
Oh! to get political empowerment and to get good politicians. What a folly? I think, we don’t need any strikes to get this stuff. We don’t require any fights for national integration. Clubs like NCC, NSS, Red Cross atc. are here for such purpose to raise national integration and integrity.
And it is cruel to forget, Harthal provides us a holiday to enjoy and it depends.
Economic Implications
This highly unproductive strategy is not only debauching but also debilitating our economy. The amount of loss is unpredictable. Consider this small calculation.
My father, a daily wager has daily income of Rs. 650. Also he has to pay Rs. 3800 as interest for loan. Rs. 6000 as monthly payment, Rs. 4000 as finance and Rs. 5000 for home purposes. He has lost Rs. 650 from his stringent budget.   And who will support him?
My uncle is running a shop nearby by taking a loan of Rs. 1500000. He has to pay around Rs.20,000 as loan interest and his daily income is around 25,000 – 30,000. He lost the same. And who will bare it?
One of my friends has a business. This crore business helps him to get 3-5 lakhs daily. But his loan payment per month is around 15 lakhs. H lost the same due to this chaotic Harthal. Lastly I came to know that, the price of Chicken raised by Rs.10 a day before Harthal.
We don’t have any concession for paying loan premium because of Harthal and we don’t have any tax deduction. Absolutely, this is an act to break the feed of common man.
When a Harthal announces suddenly, it has unpredictable consequences to shop owners and event management teams. There stocked vegetables and fruits will become rotten and preparations will be in vain. There losses will remain with them and nit with the harthal announced parties. If a vehicle runs in a Harthal day, that will be broke by agitators and Harthal announced parties and no one other than the owner will bare this losses.
In Japan, the strategy of strike is very productive. Consider an apparel company. Employees participate in strike by manufacturing one apparel. When their issues get resolved, they will produce another one with great pace. And the net result for the company is high production in a limited time. A win win situation, company as well as the employees satisfied. But things are not like here in Kerala. We are losing crores of money in a Harthal day, which pushes all kind of investors in to deep trouble that make Kerala an apparent less investor friendly state.
So, how a business’s flourish in Kerala? How it becomes investors friendly? The question remains.
It is noted that, the earning of Kerala State Beverages Corporation will be in peak a day before Harthal. We get more income by selling poisonous drink. Ohh. I consider it too as an economic implication.
Political
Politics and politicians have sufficient mileage by announcing Harthal and the purpose of most of the Harthals are purely political. I don’t like to restate, that regarding campus politics.  This is fact, politics adds strength to democracy and it is the back bone of our constitution which sustains a balance. But if it exceeds the limit, people become the victim. When ruling party announces Harthal, opposition will keep silence and vice versa because both want to conduct the same.
The way of expressing right for expression is now a jumble which locks the mouth of others to express.
Environmental impacts
Environmental impacts of Hathals are very interesting.  This is the only area which ensures positive impacts on Harthal. There is a system in China which forcefully restricts some vehicles from roads in certain days which is a part of its ‘Go Green’ Policies. It envisages to reducing carbon emission. While considering this strategy Harthal has very positive effects like no traffic, no carbon emission, no hones, no rush, and no fuel consumption. It conserves huge amount of fuel. Vow. Jai Harthal. Go Green.
Now the ball moves to your court. You can decide, Should I support Harthal and in favor of it?

End[o(f)]sulfn

Support Ban of Endosulfan.
We are going to witness yet another Stockholm Convention meet in Geneva from April 25 to 29 to discuss, among other things, a global ban on the pesticide endosulfan.Eighty-one countries had either banned Endosulfan or decided to phase out its use. It is apparent that India iwill be in one side and Kerala in other corner in this matter if the things progress like this.
Central Government intentionally closing their eyes before the victims of endosulfan in Kasarkod due to the reason - India exports about 50 per cent of its production of endosulfan. It is sure that the manufacturers are pressing the Union government to oppose the move for a global ban. They say that the ban would deprive the farmers of a cheap and effective broad spectrum pesticide.
But as people from Kerala, We can't close our eyes before the pathetic plight of thousands of children and their families in Kasargod and the move of Government to go with 'no ban attitude' in favor of manufactures.  It is our duty to ensure that the ministry does not succumb to the pressure of corporate lobby,as the chemical corporations are much worried about their profit than the safety of farm workers and consumers.

Let's raise our voie for a common cause.

Let us join together and fight to eliminate it completely from India!

Eagerly looking to witness a positive shift of Government decision toward endodulfn.

Happy Easter

He came, Lived, Crucified and died as a human. But he resurrected after 3 days, by breaking the powerful bonds of Roman Empire.

The Great Man in the history…..!!

Jesus had no servants… yet they called Him Master……..

He had no degree …..Yet they called Him Teacher….

He had no medicines…….he called him Healer….

He won no military battles…….yet he conquered the world.

He committed no crime……..yet they crucified him …..

He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today…

Many persons loved us. Many people liked us.

But only one died for us. He is JESUS CHRIST.

He is not here. He resurrected.

All the wishes of Easter.

Call Back Gandhi

We have witnesses the importance of Gandhian Ideology and it proved that it works still. Followed by Gandhian model strives in Middle East, Anna Hassare again propagated the power of Satyagraha. An all time Great Gandhi. Some time I doubt about the comment of Einsteen". “Generations to come will scarce believe that such a one as this ever in flesh and blood walked upon this earth.”. But I believe. Jesus was born before two centuries, even now people carry his love in their hearts.
Yes. Gandhi was an outstanding leader, simple strategies and great actions.  Tagore called 'Mahatma' and Subash called 'Father of India'. Not only ,we people of India called him Bapu

I think I should write something about Mahatma Gandhi and Indian National Movement. I consider it as a privilege apart from my study --- because it is a topic of interest to me.

Born at Porbandhar Gujarath in 1869 October 2. Moved to South Africa and fought against apartheid and cruelty to Indians. He has started a news paper named ' Indian Opinion' in South Africa to propagate the message of freedom and independence. He proved in Petersmaryburg that he will practice what he preaches.  The concept put forwarded by Him - Satyagraha caught wide attention. He became the leader of Indian gradually not suddenly.

He led the civil disobedience movement South Africa very successfully. wl cntnue..........

Anna - Gandhi of Modern India

The dream of India as a strong nation will not be realised without self-reliant, self-sufficient villages, this can be achieved only through social commitment & involvement of the common man."

- Anna Hazare
After more than ten decades, an Indian Anna Hassare proves that Gandhi still lives in the mind of people. His march towards curbing corruption two reached a new mile stone. Not by firing weapons but by the fighting weapon - Satyagraha. -its truth and non - violence. My Gandhi, You still lives in the mind of people.
Right to information, Model Village development, Water shed development, Anti corruption bill.........the list prolongs in the book of Anna. His fasting in the hot Janta Mantir boiled the hot seats. It forced Manmohan and Gandhi to raise from their chariots to see the pulse of people. Now Lok Janpal Bill (Anti Corruption bill ) is the hot subjects in malls and markets.
Soldier to social reformer. Then he paced the steps very fast like Philosopher, Right to information activist, crusader of non violence, visionary etc.
His tryst with the army came when many Indian soldiers became martyrs in the Indo-China War of 1962 and the Government of India had appealed to young Indians to join the Indian army. Being passionate about patriotism, he promptly responded to the appeal and joined the Indian Army in 1963. During his 15-year tenure as a soldier, he was posted to several states like Sikkim, Bhutan, Jammu-Kashmir, Assam, Mizoram, Leh and Ladakh and braved challenging weathers.
The changes in the economics brought all the villagers under one roof of unity and people voluntarily contributed in terms of labour and money to build a school, a hostel, a temple and other buildings. Mass marriages, grains bank, dairy, cooperative society, self-help groups for women and youth mandals helped develop the village in all aspects and gave a new face to it.

Hazare opines that proper planning of natural and human resources can result in the betterment of a person, area, village instead of exploiting such resources. He says, ``Today we all are exploiting the earthen resources like petrol, diesel, kerosene, coal and water. This can never be termed as perennial development as it is going to lead a state of destruction one day. The sources of energy are limited and hence I am concerned about the next generations. Today many of the villages of almost every state are feeling the brunt of water shortage. Building concrete jungles does not mean development as Gandhiji had rightly said.
Creation of a human idol should be the main objective rather than creating towering buildings. Surely, one needs to live for oneself and the family but simultaneously one owes something to your neighbour, your village and your nation too. For this, you need an idol who could lead to this goal. Such leadership is not created by power or money but only by virtues like pure thinking, matching action and willingness to sacrifice. It is the thumb rule of farming that ?When a seed buries itself, it leads to a better yield. in order to get better yield of grains, one single grain needs to burry itself.
Anna rightly thought that Development is marred by corruption and started a new venture in 1991 called Bhrashtachar Virodhi Jan Aandolan (BVJA) or public movement against corruption. It was found that some 42 forest officers had duped the state government for crores of rupees through corruption in confederacy. Hazare submitted the evidences to the government but the latter was reluctant to take action against all these officers as one of the ministers of the ruling party was involved in the scam. A distressed Hazare returned the Padmashree Award to the President of India and also returned the Vriksha Mitra Award given by then prime minister of India Rajiv Gandhi.
He further went on an indefinite hunger strike in Alandi on the same issue. Finally, the government woke up from deep slumber and took action against the culprits. Hazare’s sustained campaign on this issue had a great effect - six of the ministers were forced to resign and more than 400 officers from different government offices were sent back to home.
Its the time to ensure our support to Anna as a responsible citizen to curtail and curb corruption. The largest democratic should reach the acme of ahimsa by adapting the weapons of Gandhi. Say 'Cheers to Anna'
